Hi, welcome! My name is Carina and I received my bachelors and masters degree in Social Work from Utah State University.  My background includes years in child welfare and school social work. I have engaged with clients who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, divorce, foster care children, and culturally diverse families. I have experience working closely with young children, teenagers, and young adults.  My approach is unique and is tailored to each individual and their needs, which leads me to utilize an integrative approach with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), experiential therapy practices, and many more. I can also provide faith based-Christian counseling practices if desired and appropriate. I use a strengths based approach and help clients identify their strengths to empower them.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, attending group fitness classes, playing pickleball, scrapbooking, and getting comfy on the couch with a movie. I love to travel, the outdoors, and making a run to Maverick after a long day for my go-to drink, a diet coke!

Therapy is a journey and I would be honored to work by your side to provide a safe and supportive environment. Reach out to Meadowbrook for scheduling or if there are further questions!
