Caitlin believes healing happens when we are able to reconnect with ourselves and our embodied wisdom. She sees her role as a partnership with clients and a relationship in which to develop insight and grow our capacities while also tending to the distress in the present. Caitlin offers clients a non-judgmental, kind, and sometimes funny space, grounded in trauma-informed care and compassion. Her practice is a blend of somatic and parts work, and pulls from a variety of other approaches to better support each client’s unique experience. While she has particular interest in working with adults who are navigating the impacts of religious trauma, in-between spaces and transitions, and relational dynamics, Caitlin understands that our healing work is not siloed, but interwoven with other important components of our life. She recognizes that the intersection of identities, privilege, and oppression are fundamental in shaping how we move through the world, and views her work with clients as a pathway to reconcile the relationship with self and to reclaim the right to agency and joy.
Caitlin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington. She earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and brings a wide range of experiences working alongside individuals and families within a variety of contexts, including healthcare, crisis support, and refugee and immigrant support services. She is currently completing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training to offer this resource to clients in the future. Caitlin is committed to lifelong learning and her own healing work, and actively seeks opportunities to engage community-led learning when possible.
