My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psycho-dynamic, and Jungian psychotherapy. I am consciously aware of the need to create and maintain a safe, welcoming, comfortable, and inviting space to engage in the therapeutic process. I will tailor our sessions and the treatment plan to meet your unique and specified goals. I understand that each patient brings a story unique to their individually lived experiences. I have learned that often patients are seeking to make sense of parts of their story that seemingly make no sense but seem to resonate deep within and create this sense of emotional dysregulation. Together, I work with each patient to discover the unique influential factors of their life experiences. I believe that the therapeutic process will enhance a patient’s understanding of these factors and much like a puzzle, as these events begin to come together, creating a whole picture, a sense of wholeness, healing, growth, and self-awareness will come into fruition. These are the magical moments of self-understanding!
