Everyone experiences hard times in their lives and it is normal to need some help getting through them. My passion is to be someone that people will feel comfortable talking to about whatever they may need to talk about. I believe in being genuine and trying to see things from your point of view. I will help you empower yourself and find the tools that you already have to help you feel better.
I am currently a social work graduate student at Utah Valley University. I work with a variety of clients, including those who have mental health concerns, relationship issues, or more general life issues. I believe that therapy should be a client-led, collaborative process where it is tailored to each unique individual. I use evidence-based techniques like motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution-focused.
With my own life experiences I have learned how important it is to have someone to lean on when you feel lost or trapped in the darkness. I hope that I can be that person for you, someone that you feel like is safe enough to talk to. It takes a lot to ask for help, but it shows your strength. Reach out! I look forward to meeting you!
