Elie's passion for helping others has driven him to spend the past decade and a half working closely with individuals, couples, and families hailing from diverse backgrounds. His extensive journey as a counselor has seen him serve in a variety of settings, including schools, universities, hospitals, and even within the military, where he's honed his skills and gained invaluable insights into human behavior and resilience.
Throughout his career, Elie has come to firmly believe that regardless of where one finds themselves in life, change is not only possible but within reach. He approaches each client with this unwavering belief, tailoring his therapeutic interventions to suit their unique strengths, needs, and aspirations, all while maintaining a stance free of judgment or bias.
Embracing an integrative approach to psychotherapy, Elie draws upon a rich tapestry of therapeutic modalities from across history, seamlessly weaving together elements from various schools of thought to craft a treatment plan tailored to each individual's specific circumstances. He understands that talk therapy alone may not always suffice, which is why he readily incorporates psychoeducation and experiential techniques into his sessions, recognizing their potential to significantly enhance a client's journey towards self-discovery and growth.
Elie's diverse skill set extends beyond the realm of counseling. As a certified school teacher and fluent French speaker, he brings a unique perspective to his practice, enriching his interactions with clients and ensuring that language and cultural barriers are effectively bridged. With an undergraduate degree in clinical mental health counseling and philosophy and classics, coupled with a graduate degree in philosophy, Elie's academic background serves as a solid foundation for his work, providing him with a nuanced understanding of the human psyche and the complexities of human existence.
