Hi, I’m Kaitlin Hickman, an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern currently completing my Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program at Bellevue University. I’m in my internship phase and graduating in June 2026, and I provide therapy under clinical supervision. I work with all ages, children, teens, adults, and older adults, and I aim to create a space where clients feel heard, validated, accepted, empowered, and emotionally safe from the very first session.

I’m known for being genuine, calming, and affirming, and for creating a space where clients can show up as their full selves. I bring a strong empowerment lens to therapy, especially for clients navigating identity exploration, relational stress, trauma recovery, or major life transitions. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling accepted, steadier, and more confident in your ability to cope and make choices that align with your values.

My clinical experience includes supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, identity exploration, and relational conflict. I especially connect with teens experiencing bullying, survivors of sexual violence, women seeking empowerment, members of the LGBTQ+ community, older adults, and individuals coping with medical or health conditions that impact mental well-being.

My approach is warm, person-centered, and trauma-informed, meaning therapy is collaborative and paced to fit your needs. Depending on your goals, I may integrate strategies from CBT, ACT, and DBT-informed skills, and with children and teens, I may incorporate play-based approaches to help emotions feel more accessible and manageable. Whether you’re looking for healing, support, clarity, or practical coping tools, I’ll meet you with compassion, honesty, and deep respect for your story.
