Life asks us to carry a lot, doesn’t it? Eventually, our body shows us signs the burden is too heavy to carry alone. Therapy can be a place to finally set some of that weight down.

You might find yourself lying awake replaying conversations, feeling on edge for reasons you can’t quite explain, or carrying a sense of tightness in your chest. Through a body-based and relational approach, we’ll gently explore what your nervous system has been holding and create space for more ease. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, supporting you in reconnecting with yourself and finding greater steadiness and peace.

Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, so I offer more than one way to meet. My office is in a cozy Craftsman home near the Washington Park Arboretum, where sessions can take place indoors or outdoors. Depending on your needs, we might sit in the office, walk forest paths, spend time by the water, or wander through a garden.

My approach is individualized and integrates somatic therapy, expressive arts, eco-therapy, and evidence-based practices, including select CBT and DBT interventions. As a registered yoga teacher, we can also incorporate gentle restorative poses into sessions if that interests you.

Many people find it easier to reflect while moving, and walk-and-talk therapy can be especially supportive for stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, or simply processing thoughts in motion. Children and teens often benefit from outdoor sessions as well, where play, creativity, and movement can make it easier to communicate.

I also work with people navigating trauma, grief, major life transitions, substance use, family dynamics, and the effects of chronic stress on the body. I have extensive experience in supporting adult children of parents with substance use issues, as well as those who are exploring their own relationship with alcohol or other substances.

I offer a somatic approach to trauma therapy. While I don't currently provide EMDR or Cognitive Processing Therapy, I'm happy to refer you to trusted clinicians if those approaches are a better fit.

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes it's simply feeling overwhelmed by the pace of life, juggling work, relationships, caregiving, or the constant pull of technology—and wanting to feel more grounded, present, and connected to yourself again.

Whether we meet indoors or outside, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to bring your whole self. Together, we'll find an approach that fits you and supports meaningful, lasting change.
