To be an empathetic advocate to others by appreciating the human experience and helping others through the therapeutic process find their happiness through knowledge, understanding, and growth. One of the most important aspects of counseling is your relationship with your counselor. I provide a safe space built upon empathy, understanding, and mutual respect. I work to provide a place where you can explore what is troubling you, and together we will work to achieve your therapeutic goals.
Change comes from within. I work to empower my clients to make choices that fit within their value system by assisting them in learning what those values are and how to make them align with their choices, increasing their happiness.
I have experience treating addictions, adult children of addicts and alcoholics, trauma and trauma-related problems, suicide ideation, depression, and anxiety. I have experience with children and adolescents with ADHD, autism, and other behavioral issues.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Utah and my dual Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals.
