Hi, I'm Coleen. I am a clinical mental health counselor. I've been married for 20 years to my best friend and have five beautiful children. I grew up here in Utah and love the outdoors.
My therapeutic approach begins with respect and understanding for my clients and their experiences. I strive to create an environment where clients can openly share thoughts, feelings, and memories without judgment. I teach clients how to accept their inner experiences with compassion and kindness. Life is hard enough without adding self-criticism!
My passion is helping clients discover and live their highest values, even amidst life’s greatest challenges. We all experience disappointment, heartbreak, and relationship difficulty. Relief comes from having a place to process the pain and in discovering one’s personal values.
I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am also trained in Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
