Millcreek, Farmington, Telehealth (UT, TX)
LMFT, EMDR

With my schooling in marriage and family therapy from St. Mary’s University, I have enjoyed helping clients since 2007. I enjoy working with clients from a wide variety of backgrounds. In fact, most of my career I have been working largely with Spanish-speaking clients. Many of my clients have experienced grief and loss, which has helped me understand the importance of hearing and understanding their needs.

I began to understand the importance of genuine connection in couples therapy when a friend of mine shared his experience working to strengthen his relationship with his partner. I have been trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and EMDR therapy; I also include many principles found in the Gottman Method, which works well with couples. We all battle bad habits, and I work together with clients to help them work toward their goals while honoring their dreams. My professional experience includes individual, couples, and family therapy in various settings, such as school districts and university mental health clinics, as well as nonprofit organizations.

I find it meaningful to help clients better understand their inherent value and self-worth. I am confident in my skills in treating issues involving trauma, family conflict, grief, marital and premarital issues, parenting, peer relationships, sexually compulsive behaviors, trafficking victims, relationship issues, self-harm, and spirituality. I enjoy providing an inclusive environment for all diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals.

I understand the importance of applying the wisdom you have received from others, including from your personal spirituality.

Throughout my life, I have appreciated many aspects of music and its influence on the human heart and mind.I’m interested in sharing meaning, strength, and trust that can be built via music. Occasionally, I will paint something.I also listen to some inspiring words shared by family, a friend, or other people I trust.Although very picky with choosing podcasts, I have enjoyed a variety of genuine storytellers covering musical, social, spiritual, cultural, and many other interesting and some challenging topics. I also enjoy driving, being with loved ones, and listening to someone inspiring and/or engaging.
