I am in the final year of my Master of Social Work degree with University of Kentucky’s
Advanced online program. I completed my social work bachelor’s degree at Idaho State
University and discovered a love of working with children, families, and individuals in
social services. In my work with child welfare and behavior intervention, I have
experience working with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger, bipolar
disorder, borderline personality disorder, autism, and advocacy.
My goal is to create a place of empathy and compassion, free of judgment, so you feel
comfortable sharing your challenges. Building trust with your therapist is essential in the
therapeutic process, and I will strive to meet you there. My approach to therapy is to
tailor skills to the client’s needs through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
techniques, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) techniques, Dialectical Behavior
Therapy (DBT) techniques, grounding, mindfulness, and talk therapy. I am passionate
about continually learning new skills to support you in your therapeutic journey.
I believe everyone has strengths they can rely on to help them through the challenges
of life. Sometimes we need support to discover what our strengths are. I am grateful for
the opportunity to walk alongside people and support them in their journey to find joy,
healing and peace. Part of supporting individuals in this journey is through
empowerment, encouraging self-determination and self-awareness of their needs. I am
passionate about creating a safe space to develop a therapeutic relationship, meeting
my clients where they are on their journey to wellness. Starting therapy can be
uncomfortable but we can take those steps together and help you discover your
strengths and resilience. I am excited to walk this journey with you!
