Hi, I'm Kristen. I'm a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern and Licensed School Counselor completing post-graduate studies for clinical licensure at Rocky Mountain University. Transitioning into a therapeutic space is a natural extension of my foundational background in education and counseling. My approach is individualized, holistic, and deeply person-centered. I value providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for individuals to explore, heal, and thrive. I am a certified practitioner of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) based on Dr. Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory and have trained in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping in Schools, both stress reduction and nervous system regulating techniques.
I hold a BA in elementary education from Washington State University and an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah. I'm LGBTQ+ affirming. I enjoy working with all ages and stages of individuals seeking to connect with themselves to build a meaningful, grounded life.
