Before sharing my professional background, I’d like to share a little about myself beyond my professional role. I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, traveling, and being with my husband and two adorable parakeets. I have a strong passion for helping others feel supported and find hope and healing. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing my Master’s of Social Work at the University of West Florida.
A modality I am certified in and enjoy using is Mental Emotional Release (MER). MER is a timeline-based approach that helps identify and release the root of unresolved emotions or negative beliefs. I also incorporate techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, reframing, etc. Using these tools, I work collaboratively with each client to create a plan tailored to their unique needs and preferences.
I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals–including children, youth, and adults–supporting them in working toward their goals and taking meaningful steps toward healing. Across these roles, I have the most experience helping youth and adults who are encountering anxiety, hopelessness, a sense of not belonging, or are seeking positive change in their lives.
My goal in working with clients is to help them feel heard, empowered, and experience greater happiness. I strive to meet clients where they are at and support them in discovering that change and healing are truly possible.
