I am a dedicated, compassionate, and highly driven mental health professional currently advancing my expertise as a doctoral candidate in a Ph.D. program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Education. As an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC), I am deeply committed to fostering emotional well-being, personal growth, and resilience in those I serve, blending advanced clinical training with a heartfelt desire to support individuals through life’s complexities.
My journey into the field began at the University of Houston, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2004. This undergraduate foundation provided me with a strong understanding of psychological theory, research methods, and the diverse factors influencing mental health. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for applying these principles in practical, therapeutic settings to help individuals navigate emotional and psychological difficulties.
Now fully immersed in doctoral-level studies and research, I am actively deepening my understanding of evidence-based counseling approaches, counselor education, and advanced clinical practice. My academic and clinical work focuses on developing meaningful, empathetic therapeutic relationships and tailoring my approach to meet the unique, intersectional needs of each client. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and supportive space where healing, growth, and self-discovery can thrive.
