Therapy Approaches
Therapy is tailored to your goals, needs, and pace. Depending on what you are working through, this therapist may draw from approaches such as:
- Trauma Informed

My goal in counseling work is to create a safe space of healing and personal exploration in the midst of life’s challenges and transitions.
I am influenced by a relational cultural perspective, which emphasizes building trusting, mutually empathetic and authentic relationships both within the therapy room and elsewhere. My counseling education has been informed by Adlerian therapy, which focuses on understanding lifestyle patterns within a social context. This approach encourages Individuals to clarify their beliefs, strengths, and to take steps toward goals across different areas of life. I was raised in Washington state but have lived and worked in Alaska and Chicago, with family ties to Hawai’i. I look forward to working with clients from all age groups and backgrounds who may be facing a diverse range of mental health concerns.
Creativity and self-expression have been central to my own experience of personal growth. With a background in fine arts and ongoing education in trauma-informed expressive arts therapy, I may integrate visual art, writing, mindfulness, or sensory-based practices when helpful, as I find these can help to access emotional and somatic experiences that words alone may not reach.
Across all treatment, I emphasize safety, a holistic approach, and practical strategies clients can use in daily life. As I complete my final year of graduate training I continue to develop skills in therapy modalities such as CBT, DBT, or solution-focused work. My aim is to support insight, resilience, and meaningful change through a combination of connection, creativity, and structured interventions, guided by the unique needs and desires of each person I have the privilege of working with.
