Treatment Modalities

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

A therapy that blends acceptance with change-focused skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, is a structured approach that holds together two ideas at once: accepting yourself as you are right now and working toward meaningful change. It teaches concrete skills in four areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is often used with intense emotions, self-harm, relationship struggles, and other patterns where strong feelings can pull behavior off course.
