Child Play Therapy
A form of child therapy that uses play as the main way for a child to express experiences and learn new skills.
Child play therapy uses play as a child's natural language for working through experiences, emotions, and stress. Through guided activities, toys, art, and storytelling, a trained therapist supports the child in expressing what is hard, practicing new responses, and feeling more in charge of big feelings. Caregivers are usually involved at key points so the support can carry over at home.
