Therapy Types

Child Therapy

Counseling designed for children, often using age-appropriate tools like play, art, and stories to help them express what they are feeling.

Child therapy is counseling adapted to the way children naturally communicate. Younger clients often share more through play, drawing, and storytelling than through long conversations, so a child therapist uses developmentally appropriate activities to help a child explore feelings, manage worries, build skills, and make sense of difficult experiences. Parents are typically involved as partners in the work.
