Therapy Types

Family Counseling

Therapy that includes multiple family members to work on relationships, roles, and shared challenges as a system.

Family counseling brings two or more family members into the same conversation to look at how the family functions as a whole. A therapist helps the group notice patterns, repair ruptures, and practice new ways of communicating and supporting each other. It can be helpful during big transitions (a move, a new diagnosis, a loss), when one family member is going through a hard time, or when ongoing conflict has made daily life feel stuck.
