Nervous System

The network in the body that senses what is happening and shapes how we respond, including under stress.

The nervous system is the body's communication network. It senses what is happening inside and around us, sends signals up and down through the brain, spinal cord, and body, and shapes how we respond to stress, safety, and connection. Many therapy tools work directly with the nervous system through breath, movement, attention, and relationship.
