Neurofeedback

A training method that uses real-time information about brain activity to help support self-regulation.

Neurofeedback is a training method that gives a person real-time information about their own brain activity, usually through sensors placed on the scalp and a computer-based feedback display. Over time, this can help support self-regulation skills. Availability and use of neurofeedback varies by clinician and is one of several tools that may complement talk therapy.
