Therapy Types

Grief Counseling

A therapy focus that supports people working through loss, including death, separation, or other major endings.

Grief counseling supports people who are grieving a loss. That loss can be the death of someone close, but it can also include other endings such as divorce, miscarriage, the loss of a job or identity, or a major health change. A therapist helps make space for the full range of feelings that grief brings, gently explores how the loss is affecting day-to-day life, and works with the client at their own pace.
