Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
An evidence-based therapy that focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions to support change.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a structured, present-focused approach that pays close attention to how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. A therapist helps the client notice unhelpful patterns, test them against the evidence of their actual life, and practice new responses through skills, experiments, and small between-session exercises. CBT has been adapted for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, and OCD.
